Verena

Escala 1:72 Revell (Score 5/10)

Rescue Boat Verena. The 9.5-meter rescue boats have a delta-hull and are characterized by excellent seaworthiness. Since its foundation in 1865, crews of the DGzRS have rescued around 81,000 people in distress or danger at sea. The rescue boat was built at the Lurssen shipyard in Bardenfleth in 2003. Initially it was stationed in Helgoland and was named VERENA. Her sister ship is WALTER ROSE.
The German Maritime Search and Rescue Service has saved more than 80,000 people from the clutches of the ocean, and it is ships like the Walter Rose that make it possible. Since 2012 the Walter Rose has been stationed on the Kiel Fjord, ready to respond to emergencies on that busy waterway.
